Reading Assignment

Introduction

Within the following reading assignments, you will find a phrase-by-phrase study of the most famous homemaker in all of history – the Virtuous Woman from Proverbs 31.

The Holy, Happy Homemaker #8

Proverbs 31:11 (NKJV) “The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.”

“So he will have no lack of gain.” – The NIV translates it this way, “and lacks nothing of value.” This inspired use of hyperbole (obvious and intentional exaggeration) is intriguing. In other words, the value of a homemaker is so great, it’s as if her function satisfies and even exceeds all other needs or conveniences.

Consider this important application: Investing in a homemaker secures, for the husband and the home, all things of real value.

Make It Real Assignment: Add the following words to your list of homemaker qualities, “I am abundance!”
