Reading Assignment

Introduction

Within the following reading assignments, you will find a phrase-by-phrase study of the most famous homemaker in all of history – the Virtuous Woman from Proverbs 31.

The Holy, Happy Homemaker #4

Proverbs 31:10 (NKJV) “Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.”

“wife” – It’s important to note that the Wise Man’s list of homemaker qualities both begins and ends with the connection a woman has to her husband. The husband/wife relationship is the core of healthy homemaking.

Consider this important application:

To be a holy, happy homemaker, women must emphasize their focus on the marriage. While children are intended to be the results of a marriage (Genesis 2:24), they are not intended to be the focal point of the home. When the husband/wife relationship is healthy, children will feed off of that security and grow from that example of love.

Make It Real Assignment: Add the following words to your list of homemaker qualities, “I am a wife first!”
